The Star! A very good tarot card to pull indeed, which means completion. After 12 and 13 hour days, and much anxiety, I finished this round and sent it off to my editor. I made all her changes, and some of my own. I tightened arcs and strengthened characters and ramped up the theme. And I realized that you never really are done, that there is always more to do. And I realized that I am so close to the work after this week that I can't tell anymore if what I did was great or terrible or subtle or like a hammer knocking on everyone's head.Ah, but that is why God invented brilliant editors, no?
