Ok, I cannot torment myself any further by working on two novels side by side. One has to take precedence, so I am going to work ferociously hard on the first two or three chapters of each and then show it to some writer friends and see which one, at this point in time, seems more alive. I love them both, but I need to be able to hunker down and work through the problems of just one.
Sigh. anyone got any magic potions for me?
I think this makes sense. but be prepared -- all your readers may say "work on novel A" and then you may suddenly realize that you REALLY want to work on Novel B. That's happened to me! Either way, you'll know.
